Lapp: Uhm, when I'm not sleeping/working/at class, I've been diddling with Faster Than Light, mostly...a little bit of Dishonored, but I generally avoid games that demand conscious thought unless I'm more well-rested than usual.
Roflcakes: @Lapp: Dark Souls and Dishonored for me! I have to be in the right state of mind to play Dishonored, because I'm extremely OCD when it comes to collecting all the stuff in the levels. Hours and hours exploring every nook and cranny, picking up all the gold and crossbow bolts and then rushing the target.
PinkBallons: @Roflcakes: I've been obsessed with Dark Souls for quite a while now, especially since the DLC came out. Fuckyeah, Artorias.
A friend of mine mentioned Dishonored, how is it?
Roflcakes: @PinkBallons: The game is fucking class. Sure, the PC port was pretty crappy but I can overlook almost every problem with it because the gameplay is so god damn good.
As for Dishonored: Did you play Deus Ex: Human Revolution? It plays similarly to that, only with less RPG stuff. You have a lot of options to tailor the gameplay how you want because the skills you get are pretty open ended. For example: If you want to play it like a stealth game and avoid combat entirely, you can. If you want to rush into rooms and kill everybody, you can. If you want to do a mixture of both, you can.
Also, the art direction is incredible. Easily one of the best realized game universes in a release this year.
PinkBallons: @Roflcakes: Nah, never played Deus Ex. That sounds pretty fun, though. My usual problem with games is that I can never quite make my character feel right; I've probably gone through about 20 in Dark Souls so far, for example. Finding equipment that both looks good and is effective is entirely too difficult.
Roflcakes: @PinkBallons: Another game you should look into if you can be bothered, then. It's extremely polished and chances are if you like Dishonored, you'll enjoy Deus Ex for similar reasons.
Oh god, the armour in Dark Souls is so hit and miss... I have to go brave the Tomb of the Giants and get myself the Paladin armour. Looks great and it has fairly good stats.
The_Elder_Troll: @Roflcakes: Played Dues Ex and Dark Souls, Dark souls is Rage inducing, Dues Ex was cool, I'm waiting till Friday though when my AC3 arrives, I pre-ordered it on gamefly and since it be on express I'm getting it on Friday.
