bAv-R34: @Roflcakes: Oh well. If all else fails with his design, let's just hope he has a good voice. I'm hoping that he doesn't sound like a generic dark character with a growling voice, but more of a suave voice that you'd probably get from a James Bond villain.
Anonymous2: I think he's going to be some kind of azn Empuru Character come to invade Equestria or the Crystal Kingdom, although in the leaked footage a "King" is mentioned, and not in a positive light.
Silent_Witness: I'm sure the guy will be perfectly reasonable as a villian. Come on you guys, have a little faith in the show's writing staff. I'm sure plenty of you scoffed at the plot for "A Canterlot Wedding," but they turned around and made it great. Why can't you give them the benefit of the doubt here?
Faptacular: @Silent_Witness: I do believe in the writing staff, it's the politics of the higher-ups I have no faith in.
I hear "crystal pony" and I think back to G1 where Hasbro launched a line of gem-eyed ponies. I think Sweet-stuff (A character in the movie) was one.
Basically crap being shoehorned in for the next toy line. There'd be less objection to this if they'd even scratched the surface of what they already had. I.E. BG ponies and more one-shot characters. The most glaring omission at the moment being a proper Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis and Discord.
But that aside just looking at this guy screams OC faggotry no matter how I look at it. until I actually see him in-show and hopefully well written I'm probably not gonna be able to get past it.
Lapp: @Lord_Adam_Trollingsworth: Yeah...I hope they at least play it in a tongue-and-cheek kinda way, given he looks like motherfucking Power-Rangers villain.
bloodandshiteverywhere: I'm going to laugh at all the pissed off bronies when this shitty glorified OC speaks in a faggy voice. The short-lived pony fad will disappear really soon and the ponyfags will anhero as they struggle to find another forever alone convention.
Silent_Witness: @bloodandshiteverywhere: And what will you do, once your only means of obtaining happiness in the world is gone forever? Will you an hero too?
I dare say that nigh on three years, millions of words of quality literature, entire books worth of incredible art, hours of grand fan made songs and videos, combined with a more unified fandom than most animus could hope for; those are not the qualities of a short lived fanbase.
Nay, we have faced doubt before. The Brony was forged amidst fiery combat and in the shadow of doubt, and in doubt we shall endure.
Hwee are not your average Otacon weaboo; our faith runs strong, and to shatter our faith would require the unleashing of forces that would eradicate the very earth.
In the face of corporate shenanigans, we must remind ourselves that such villainy is the means by which our beloved pony is maintained, and so must take such things with the dignity of the Agonized Flagellant. Though this suffering, we become stronger.
Tis a test, one we must gird our spleen and harden our hearts to pass. Give me doubts, I welcome them. If the studio can succeed even in these dark days, if even in light of such sorrowful douchebaggery, we Ponyfags stand united, then I say that Bronies shall not perish from the Internet so soon; No! I say that we shall last for years to come! I say, that if we remain faithful, if we remain strong, I say that we shall come through this purgatorial era, and Season SIX will be no less anticipated, and no less well recieved, than the first episodes from which our forefathers recieved enlightenment.
I say to you this; endure! Believe in the Promise of Celestia, in the Resolve of the Mane Six, in the grandeur of Equestria...Believe, and you shall be Triumphant.
Faptacular: @Silent_Witness: That's pretty much my point. They've set up camp in a gold mine that they're completely ignoring in favor of panning a stream a mile away.

I seriously hope that's not the guy's final design.

I was wondering as to where the hell you went. And to think that I almost started to miss your jackassery.
