Roflcakes: Gilda's conditioned worsened. Her fever was dire and her temperature was skyrocketing. The doctors and nurses gathered round to administer her medicine but all their efforts were in vein. With the last of the strength her weakened form could muster, she turned her head towards Rainbow's bed and tried her best to speak. "I- I'm sorry for being a bad friend." she mumbled. Rainbow looked up at her dying friend, not understanding her final message and watched her expire.
A single tear rolled down Rainbow's cheek and dropped down onto her bedsheets, where it was absorbed and only a tiny damp spot remained.
Lapp: @Roflcakes: ...Should've made it so that Rainbow fails to ever understand Gilda's regrets, and therein Gilda's memory exists in disdain alone, never given a chance at forgiveness.
AnonV3: "Gilda! It's getting really rough out here! Maybe we should turn back?" Rainbow Dash shouted above the cacophony of the storm, her voice barely carrying the three or so feet to her friend and sometimes lover. Gilda didn't turn to indicate she heard her, however, instead pushing ahead farther as the rain and wind whipped their hair and feathers in the blind rage of pure, uncontrolled fury. A lightening bolt touched down near the pair, causing Rainbow to yelp in sudden fright. Gilda raised her claws to the sky, flipping them the bird in joyous glee at the chaos around her.
"This is how gryphons learn to fly, Dash!" Gilda's deeper voice was almost a whisper against the storm. "We don't control the weather, we use it! We test ourselves against it! We become stronger for it! This is a challenge!"
Gritting her teeth against the cold and the wet, Rainbow felt a fire burning in her belly. A challenge, huh? Well, she'd show Gilda that pegasi don't back down from that kinda of a contest.
