glassfragment: You're an assfragment.
Chef Retardee was just asking if Cosmo is generally referred to as "Cosmo the Seedrian" just like how Sonic is "Sonic the Hedgehog" and Rouge is "Rouge the Bat", whereas other side-characters just refer to themselves by their usual first names. For instance, the "Tails" tag is just Tails, not "Tails the Fox" or even "Miles 'Tails' Prower". Similarly, Amy Rose is not "Amy Rose the Hedgehog", "Sally Acorn" isn't "Sally Acorn the Squirrel/Chipmunk/Groundhog/Whatever", and so forth.
So there's nothing wrong or dumb with what I said. Not EVERY character necessarily refers to themselves as "x the y" like CR mentioned.
Now, I haven't seen much of Sonic X Season 3 as a whole, but in her debut episode she simply introduces herself by saying "My name is Cosmo". So I take it that's her generally accepted moniker without the "Seedrian" suffix.
glassfragment: All in all it just comes down to what's most convenient to tag someone by. There aren't any other characters named Tails besides Tails himself, so the tag "Tails" will suffice. Similar story for Amy Rose and Knuckles. Sonic the Hedgehog is still Sonic the Hedgehog because that's also the name of the series, as well as that's how he properly introduces himself.
Characters with names that are slightly more common, such as Cosmo, Blaze or Rouge, need their "last name/species name" added so they're not confused with characters such as Cosmo the fairy, Blaze Fielding, or Rouge from Power Stone, respectively. To name but a few examples.
Anonymous5: Long post is long, no one gives a shit, her name is "Cosmo the Seedrian" because her race is "Seedrian" like "Sonic the Hedgehog" because he is a "Hedgehog" and "Knuckles the Echidna" because he is an "Echidna" Read your facts before posting pl0x. It's called "Sonic X" because thats the name of the anime.
Anonymous6: Logic failiure detected.
Anon5 does it again, sheesh... your logic says that Amy should be refered to as "Amy the Hedgehog" as well. She isn't though, is she?
