An_Onymous: @craggle: Somehow I don't buy that. I started shaving my pubes just for the hell of it some months ago and I haven't noticed any difference in how warm I feel. (I'm a dick-bearer, but I don't think that makes much difference.)
I've never pictured Korra shaving much of her body hair. I mean, she's fairly butch, and the historical period The Legend of Korra's setting most resembles is one where shaving of female body hair wasn't widespread anyway. Maybe she shaves her pits; I forget if we've clearly seen them to be hairless in the show. Then again, her ethnic group's rough real-life counterparts (indigenous Arctic peoples) aren't known for having much body hair in the first place, IIRC.
Anonymous5: Also, I think her armpit and pubic hair mask her scent. She is living among dangerous animals, so she needs to hide her scent from predators.

I didn't see any armpit hair in the episodes.
