Slamacow: @Anonymous4: A "safe week" is a bit unrealistic, yes.
And there is never a period where a woman is 100% certain NOT to get pregnant since sperm can survive in a woman's vagina/reproductive organs for up to 5 days.
However there is a period like 3-4 days after a woman's period/menstrual cycle when the ovulation has ended and the egg is gone where it's virtually impossible to get pregnant at THAT TIME.
Yet, even women can't be 100% when this is due to the menstrual cycle and ovulation shifting based on a variety of factors.
So while there is never a 100% "safe" time to ejaculate inside a woman, there are time when it is much much less likely for them to get pregnant AND they wash out their vaginal canal/douche themselves after sex.
Knowledge is important, kids.
