Anonymous2(1): Neither can a futa be male. This is a futa.
This isn't the first time this has come up. This is a conversation that has been litigated and re-litigated dozens of times over the years here. And consistency is more important than validating a cartoon hedgehog's gender identity.
tom-tom: @Anonymous: a female shown with a dick is futa... correct... but sonic is male... he is shown with boobs... this doesnt fit the guides exception for rule63...
ok so if a male is shown with bobbs his gender isnt important so he is futa but if a girl is shown with a dick it has to be shown without boobs so its not fute??? that doesnt make any sense... equal rights is not making females more important...
tom-tom: @Anonymous: look for the definition and you will see it is rule63...
futa: person with dick and vagina...
dickgirl: girl (female) with a dick...
sonic is male that is shown as the opposite gender by showing him with boobs... and none of exclusions fits in this case... telling the original gender of the "cartoon hedgehog" isnt important shows that you dont even know what a futa or dickgirl is...
oh yeah an ad hominem attack by an anonymous user...
Anonymous4: @tom-tom: Your emotes have no power here. And you seem to be conveniently ignoring the part where neither futa or dickgirls are to be tagged as rule 63. The caveat makes no reference to the canon gender of a character.
And I'm not attacking you tom. I'm trying to figure out where you were years back when the exact argument you are making was being made.
tom-tom: @Anonymous: ok so when talking about if a character is shown as the opposite gender the canon gender is not important???
and i just showed you the definition of the excludings... if they dont fit it is rule63...
where i was??? i kept excluding pics of males with boobs from my search... thats why we are talking about this tag... and why im talking about ad hominem attack??? you said i was lurking... why is my number of comments important to mention??? you didnt say i was on here... mentioning nonimportant facts makes it an attack...
TerraLust: @tom-tom: Look up the futanari tag on a porn site and it will tell a completely different story. That is the standard used. Ask an admin if you don't believe me.
Futanari and Hermaphrodite are not used to mean the same thing.
Anonymous5: @tom-tom: It's real simple. If a character has mixed sexual characteristics, it's not "drawn as the alternate sex".
And when I said you'd been lurking, I wasn't making a jab at your comment history. I was saying you've been here. Apparently you just missed this drama when it happened the first few times.
Anonymous6(1): @tom-tom: I clicked on the first of those links. The definitions you just used are taken from a medical text from over 800 years ago. The final paragraph goes on to describe a more recent definition as “endowed with feminine curves, voluptuous breasts and a virile penis.”
The thing is, I could find an article to justify any position when it comes to genre because genre is imprecise. There's no real "official" definition. It does say a lot that the article you cherry-picked actually disproves your point though.
tom-tom: lol... you just told i am right...XD if there is no "offical" definition, everyone can have his/her/their own definition... so you cant tell if anyone is right or not when tagging rule63... there is no definition in the tagging guide what they mean by futa/hermaphrodite and dickgirl...
800 years ago??? exaggeration at its finest... and i didnt just cherry-picked them... its the most trusted... cant you just be respectful???
Anonymous7: @tom-tom: I have been very clear from the the beginning that consistency is important. You don't have to dig far to see the sorts of things that qualify as rule_63 on this site. You just have to browse the tag.
And yeah, 800 years ago. The article cites that definition as coming from a 12th century medical document. We are in the 21st century. That's over 800 years. Maybe read the article next time. Then you might get some respect.
Meaning “hermaphrodite” in Japanese, futanari especially refers to pornographic characters in erotic manga or anime, known as hentai. Futanari is sometimes shortened to futa, and hentai that contains futanari characters could be called futa hentai.
and afterwards it describes where the word comes from...
so dont tell me futa and hermaphrodite arent the same...
Anonymous8: And you move the goalposts yet again, conveniently ignoring all the points I mentioned. It's a short article. In fact, here it is:
According to Onnagata: A Labyrinth of Gendering in Kabuki Theater, futanari appears as a medical condition in a 12th-century scroll, The Book of Disease. Here, futanari describes a person with male and female genitals, which we might now call intersex. In Japanese, futa means “two” and nari means “figure,” which refers to such a person’s perceived dual nature.
In the 17th century, the pathological term gave way to an aesthetic called futanarihira. Narihira was a poet noted for his beauty, and so futanarihira (combining his name with futanari), is sometimes translated as “androgynous beauties” or “androgynous stunners.” These were male Kabuki actors who, according to the Nikkei Times, played both male and female roles.
Futa hentai became popular in the 1990s. The Japan Times describes the typical futanari character as “endowed with feminine curves, voluptuous breasts and a virile penis.”
Stop ignoring the modern definitions just because the one that predates germ theory fits your argument better.

Even by your tortured definitions, this still shouldn't be tagged rule 63.
Stop acting like yours is some radical stance that was never presented before. You've been lurking for 10 years and should know better.

Futanari is the japanese word for Hermaphrodite and is a person with both male and female genitals...
so dont blame anyone for not knowing your meaning of the words if they are different to the offical ones...
