Second, I think it has been pretty obvious to a sizeable fraction of people who engaged with the pic that the solitary focus was to maximize tags - Not for this site, but for others in which tags get a lot more specific and are more numerous. On e621 this pic would have over 6000 tags. On the other site it was well over the amount of tags than the site's code could allow for, and that would likely be similar for this site too if the tags weren't simply artist + series + characters. I was very steadfast in pursuing this goal with this starting panel of the project, and as a result I constantly resorted to gimmicks, transformations, multi-appendages, and multi-insertions to maximize tags and felt as a result I never had a point so far where I could simply draw something I felt like drawing - each group of characters had to be piling on several more tags each, and what results is a lot of same-pose spam and spamming throw-away Raid characters to get tedious tag projects out of the way. I did all the tags myself as I went along because that was the heart of the project.
Thirdly, I thought this gimmick was amusing and expected a larger portion of people to be amused by it. It's probably obvious I don't do pixel art and when I do the next panel I will try my best to improve - Potentially by upping the scale. The idea was going to be that as panels go on the art would improve and simultaneously that the gimmicks would clear up and eventually it would boil down to just adding more characters any way I feel like.
I am sorry to Farf for the tag debacle. I pretty much get how to do tags now given what's transpired, but it's unfortunate that I decided to mess them up on a post with so many tags.
This was meant to just be a silly project and I'm sorry that it has caused this much of a stir.

@fizzlesticks: It's 40% okay. Most of the characters you tagged never had an image on the site before, so I can understand if there's a bunch of new tags. That being said, a bunch of the tags you were making was either unneeded or unnecessary. Again, "Something_(series/character/whatever)" is normally created by a staff member. A bunch you made was unnecessary as it was either still easy to find the thing or the only thing getting tagged. And the other issue is the image itself. If it was larger and clear to see what's in there, that would have made things easier. That's not your fault, that's more on the artist. I don't have an issue with you uploading another large character image, but pick what tags use with a bit more care. If anything, we do have a guide on that very subject. That aside, capitalization on the tags would have been nice. unlike other images board, that's something we actually care about.
Like what notmacacos2 said, at least you tagged this monstrosity. Some would have left it as "tagme". If you did that, this conversation won't have happened.
