ConsciousDonkey: Honestly, I didn't know who I was supposed to like in the show. The good-for-nothing gambling addict who robs his own old sick mother blind? This North Korean dirt who "repays" south koreans' hospitality by picking their pockets? The unscrupulous bankster who is nevertheless too dumb and faces hard jail time instead of a slap on the wrist which the banksters usually get? The obnoxious jailbird whore who sleeps with anyone she deems useful?
The only nice players were that teen girl who offed her abusive pedo stepfather and that married couple. But of course, they ended badly, like nice people always do. So for the last 3 episodes or so, I was actually rooting for the Squid Game crew to liquidate all the remaining human trash (including the main "hero") and not get caught. Well, until they revealed the real "purpose" behind the games. Plus, looking at South Korea demographics and economy, they could probably organize a 500-player game every week and still have no shortage of such desperate people. :-/
CAKelso: The game makers and 'VIP's also saw their players as 'human trash', so I guess you can consider yourself in 'good company' with a bunch of (fictional) psychos, although I fear such views might also be held by some real mass murderers.
Anonymous4: @ConsciousDonkey: I like how Mr. Guy felt the need to let us all know how poor his media analysis skills are underneath porn of said media.
