I have no idea how important what he’s doing is but of it were, you’d think they’d bring it up in story mode at least once or cut away to him rather than just mention him offhandedly in canonically questionable dialogue. The way the wrote and portrayed the Takehashi family is just comically bad, you have to wonder why they set out to get married in the first place. They are fucking Goku levels of inattentive bad family man.
