Anonymous1: The fact that there was a time when I’d frequent the comic book store and support comics over manga makes this so depressing. I Am Not Starfire, New Warriors, Marvel, DC and the state of the industry overall right now in general is absolutely soul crushing. I don’t know if the big two knows how shit things truly are right now or if they even care enough to right themselves before they become completely irrelevant but the kid in me hopes they can, however unlikely it may be.
Anonymous2: The thing about I am Not Starfire is that it's a non canon graphic novel for twelve year olds. DC's been doing these for a few years now (I think the first one was that Super Sons graphic novel in which Damian was a white kid named Ian). They've been uneven (I really liked Shadow of the Batgirl, The Oracle Code, and the Lost Carnival), but in general they aren't connected to actual comics.
