Anonymous5: first: there IS no difference between dark elves, shadow elves or night elves.

Second: @ anon1 they aren't necessarily evil just because they're elves.

Anonymous8: Anon5 you stupid pile of shit. Dark Elves are totally different - From D&D and The Forgotten Realms settings.

Night Elves are the product of WoW.

Shadow Elves are non-heard of. Get your facts straight, imbecil.

Anonymous10: Excerpt from Wikipedia:

As a race, drow are usually evil. Exceptions exist, the most notable being Drizzt Do'Urden, Jarlaxle Baenre, and Liriel Baenre, but these are highly unusual. (Note that even Liriel Baenre was arguably of evil alignment for the first portion of her life, only shifting to a good alignment after close relationships with several good-aligned characters.) Originally, drow were chaotic evil in alignment. Beginning with 3rd edition D&D, drow are usually neutral evil. There have been encounters with non-evil drow, but these are distrusted as much as their brethren, due to their reputation. The Drow followers of Eilistraee are the largest group of good Drow, as Eilistraee is the patron goddess of all Drow that have a good alignment.

Anonymous12: And Jarlaxle - at least during the Dark Elf trilogy, I can't speak to anything after that - is more of a pragmatically neutral mercenary than a good guy. And when you serve drow Houses, pragmatic neutrality looks a lot like evil.

Anonymous13: @ Anon8, you're an idiot.

Dark Elf is generic term used to refer to any kind of elf in a work of fiction with either a dark skincomplexion or evil allignment. Drow are dark elves, dark elves aren't necessarily drow.

Anonymous14: @Anonymous: No drow are elves that exist solely in forgotten realms, shadow elves exist solely in mystara, and dark elf is a lazy term for trying to lump all elves that are dark skinned together.
