I mean it’s possible to ask the creators themselves but you don’t exactly need to be directly related to see someone as your child or responsibility.

Anonymous8(1): @Anonymous: Yeah, I get it. Definitely have a few characters like that in my mind. Wasted potential or under-utilized. It definitely becomes harder giving every character the time and love they probably deserve when there’s so many to work with.
Anonymous9(1): @Anonymous: Anything with a large cast of characters will have a few. Comics in general but definitely Marvel and DC. Video games, especially fighting ones. Tekken is kind of infamous for not caring too much about the characters outside of the family feud. Anime, action and shounen series primarily and Dragon Ball is reigns supreme at wasting most characters that aren’t Goku. In fact it’s so ridiculous that Dragon Ball Fighterz likely has more versions of a playable Goku than there are female fighters. But did you want like names, characters and specifics or something?

There’s plenty wrong with her execution though, her backstory is mostly implied and vague and her motivations or what her plan actually is, is unclear to me. Like if you know anything more than I do about her, please enlighten me. This series is just chalk full of underwritten characters though. Tien has been around forever and people still debate on whether or not he’s alien or human. I think Broly is a great example of good visuals and concept but poor writing and execution. And although his more modern incarnation is a definite improvement, he’s not exactly complicated. I think Zamasu could definitely be better. I don’t think any character really lives up to their full potential.

All you need to know about the series is that it’s horribly balanced. It’s like the Justice League if the league spent most of their time watching Superman do everything or if they’re waiting Superman to arrive to save the day. I like the series but I have many, many, many issues with it.
Basically she’s an Android kind of like 17 and 18 but different. She was made with genetic material from different beings and aliens added to her being. That pink form of hers comes from a being that’s supposed to be pure evil with the ability to turn beings into desserts. I think that part of her is what drives her to be evil and creates a hunger. I was hoping you could alleviate some of my grievances and confusion with her character but oh well.

Like multiple universes and full aliens and magic where anything is possible and how many female anythings are worth a damn in a fight? Hell, even other shounen series, stuff intended for boys is less of a sausage fest so don’t give me that mahou shoujou nonsense.

It’s technically contradicted by a more recent movie and it’s technically no longer canon but it works like a self-contained story and as a prequel that sets up the first few major antagonists and explains where the main character comes from.

Anonymous16(1): @Anonymous: Yeah, I appreciate someone with some more oomph to them too but at the same time, I recognize not every girl is or should be the same and that each one has their charms. I mean the series already some girls with some thicc in them and Pearl was like a good contrast. I love Ivy from SolCal in large part because of her body but if everyone up to and including girls like Xianghua had the same build, she’d stand out less I think. Variety I believe is absolutely essential.

I mean it helps that she wears tight workout clothes and does yoga. But she got that athletic and fit bod you see on gymnasts and dancers that certainly has appeal too.

Because there aren't that many female fighters in Dragon Ball. If you want to see chicks fighting, you go watch magical girl shows, not DB.
