Anonymous2: Problem is that screenwriters often don't read the whole series, so they make little changes without understanding how much they impact the overall story. In this case, it may have been more disney's fault, as they didn't want artemis to be a bad guy, so they changed his origin without understanding that his change over time would have made a better story arc.
