Anonymous2: @Anonymous: the point that was trying to make was that humanity achieved utopia and due to futuristic technology and convenience, people gave up up on sentimental and emotional values and the motivation for morality. so divide in class rose and lawlessness sparked in a place that was used to having no problems.
its not that this is promoting religion per say, but rather religion is the easiest way to keep people in line. "do this and that otherwise god will punish you and youll go to hell" is much easier to say than "do this and that because [insert entire thesis on morality and the functioning of society]"
anyway the documentary continues, some guy adopts "traditional and artistic values of earth of the past" (he adopted german fascism) and due to his preaching of social order and reestablishing Norse religion, people followed him because its better than nihilistic pleasures and disorders of the old utopia.
he ends up recreating monarchies and nobilities, killing off "inferior genes", etc etc. many people rebel and establish a constitutional republic the other side of the galaxy.
