these two concepts are contradictory. When piikeisandaa claims that this is his original character, then it is not a derivative work any longer. The design of the character belongs to the creator, so how he handles it is the his right.
Was this character a gijinka when he was first created? Yes.
But he is not a gijinka now, he is an original character inspired by the characters from other game. (And I think this is why piikeisandaa didn't tag the GS and gijinka tag on them any more.)
Rua: I think piikeisandaa's reply can help to understand this issue. They are not GS Djinn any longer.

Either leave the tags as they are, or report it to be deleted. Because if you're not going to associate it with Djinn and GS then it has no business remaining R34 at all.
