jubilation_t_cornpone: report: Is this tag change to "Pluto_the_Pup" site-sanctioned? Because I have never once in my entire life heard the character referred to that way.

Follow wikipedia link.

Sometimes it's used, sometimes it's just Pluto

traffik: @jubilation_t_cornpone: Look, I don't care if it was occasionally used by Disney back before anyone here was born-- in 2018, nobody calls him that. You honestly expect it to occur to every causal paheal user who posts a pic with Pluto in it to tag him with a variation that they've likely never even heard of? And because of the other uses of the name "Pluto", you can't very well alias it, can you?

Just a bad, foolish decision.

jubilation_t_cornpone: The fact that there are other uses of the name is a good reason to use a distinct one. We're only talking about a small number of pics. Under either name.

CaptainBoomer: @jubilation_t_cornpone: You know, if you allowed a Disney tag, that would solve the problem.

traffik: @jubilation_t_cornpone: Blah blah blah, rationalize my senseless decision, blah blah blah. You're arguing that the very small number of thumbnails that will pop up when someone searches on "Pluto" is somehow a bigger inconvenience than somebody having to perpetually change the tag on every new pic that gets posted.

traffik: @traffik: By 'very small number of thumbnails that will pop up when someone searches on "Pluto"', I meant the ones they'd have to ignore. Barely more than a handful of pics, that all they'd have to do is scan past.

jubilation_t_cornpone: @CaptainBoomer: Perhaps, but you're talking to the wrong person. Prohibiting producer tags was policy long before I was on staff.
