Thornbrier: And technically, the one fucking Toph is a stone statue that the tribe constructed on their island in memory of their creator, Steven. There are also watermelon dogs and chickens. Their entire society is based on what Steven thinks of a simple island village life. So, even though watermelon people are grown in fields, they are delivered to loving mommies and daddies to live as a family. And being raised by warrior women, it is the 'mommy' mellons who tend to go to war. It was pretty creepy though that apparently the watermelon people so easily sacrifice one of their own to appease Malachite.
