Anonymous1: Most people who state crap like that, who never go into details on that at all, are these butt hurt fan boys who need to grown a pair or have some basic understanding of story telling and characterization writing. Miranda went from an unapproachable, cold, conscientiousness to the mission, hardly showing any feeling... to be reveled as a deeply self-loathing individual who's years of abuse as well as the nature of her existence that left her feeling that she does not deserve credit for any of her accomplishments. Her frosty personality is simply a facade to hide her insecurities. She is also deeply fond and protective of her sister Oriana, and has gone to great lengths to keep her safe, even going so far as to avoid revealing to her that she exists. Notably if Shepard persuades her to get closer to her sister she is so emotionally affected that she is shown to have tears in her eyes. I would go on, but I"ll be here all day, but it's simply character development writing 101...
