Dexen: @Anonymous: Seriously? She's a psycho who spent time in Limbo. She'd fended off advances from new X-Men team members by assuring them that they couldn't even hold a hope of taming her.
Dexen: She's dark and grizzled as hell. So much so, she manipulated her own brother into damn-near selling his soul just so he could finally understand how far gone she has truly become, and laughed in his face about it. She isn't "evil", no. But that doesn't mean she's "good". Hell, she isn't even "nice".
Gallows187: She actually took the entire AvX series to specifically fuck with her brother over and over, twisting him, just so that he'd actually ACCEPT that she really *IS* evil, so people would stop saying she's "not really 'evil'"
Anonymous5(1): @Dexen: I've read "Magik: Storm and Illyana", "Quest for Magik" arc from "New X-men", "New Mutants" (1st and 3rd series), "X-infernus" Gillen's "Uncanny X-men", as well as Bendis' run on it. There's nothing I don't know about the character.
Anonymous6(1): @Gallows187:Ever heard of this quote "damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive"? Magik screwed her brother over just like Belasco screwed her over. It's a vicious cycle. She has self-esteem issues.
Anonymous7(1): More stuff on Magik: for most of her life, Magik was corrupted by demonic power as a result of Belasco stealing portions of her soul and the holes being replaced by that power. As a result of demonic corruption, Magik would go evil at times and her demonic appearance is the physical manifestation of her evil side if she becomes more consumed by demonic power. It's like Jean Grey and her Dark Phoenix side.
