pandapower: Very sexy. Since Temp which shepard wanted to have samara. his squeezed well one embellish with images with liara and samara with shepard! ^^
Kyosei: @O Rly: Default Shepard and default Fem Shepard are both official
So, no custom Shepards don't count for the tag. Or else you could tag Commander Shepard on every Mass effect pictures that contains an other human.
Kyosei: @Kyosei: My point being : They're official but you can modify them as much as you like. But your creation will be an OC and you shouldn't use the "Commander_Shepard" tag.
That's like a picture of Twilight Sparkle and edit it so much that it doesn't look like Twilight Sparkle at all, it's an OC and it doesn't deserve the "Twilight_Sparkle" tag
O_Rly: That is one of them most ridiculous things I've ever heard. They're the same goddamn character, no ifs ands or buts. Stop trying to make up your own rules.
Anonymous2(1): @O Rly: What if I use a mod that replaces Shepard with another crew member like Kasumi and make her naked and upload screenshots? Would it be okay to tag those screens as 'Shepard' since she uses the same animations and voice as FemShep?
If that's not okay, then that means you're hypocritically making up your own rules!
jubilation_t_cornpone: I think I agree with Kyosel. This is a static visual medium. Voices and behaviors are not relevant. If it doesn't look anything like the character, I don't see any reason to tag it as the character.
O_Rly: Ugh, this is so ridiculous. To answer your question, Anon 2, no, that would not count because you'd be using KASUMI, not an already installed custom Shepard's designs. I'm pointing out facts here.
You guys are gonna have to remove the Commander_Shepard tag from every other picture that has a custom Shepard. Have fun with that.
O_Rly: I mean, no offense, but that doesn't make any sense at all to me. If you're serious, Jubi, someone really is gonna have to funnel through every single picture where default Shepard's face isn't shown and remove the Shepard tag. The default is just one model people use. In this picture, for example, you can tell it's a customized Shepard and not some random guy because of the hair, which is an already installed design. It's really not a big deal. :/
Anyway, fine. I won't bitch anymore. But I still don't get it.
O_Rly: Alright, I swear this is my last post. My real issue is that if the artist themselves wants it to be Shepard (which they did; check the tag history), then you shouldn't tell them otherwise because of technicalities. And yeah the hair model is reused on NPCs, but my point remains.
jubilation_t_cornpone: @O Rly: What I think you don't understand is the purpose of tags. When people click on a tag, they are wanting to see a specific thing. If they don't get that specific thing, what did it gain them to click on the tag?
The failure is in the fandom, for having characters with inconsistent appearance.
An artist may "want it to be a particular character", but if it's supposed to be Pinkie Pie and looks like Godzilla, with no hint of Pinkie, does it really make sense to tag it as Pinkie Pie anyway? The user wants to see Pinkie, not Godzilla.
Yes, tagging is inconsistent on the site. Stuff gets fixed as it is encountered.
