Comixfan: @Enercell: Than you're apparently in the minority. I fucking dig it. Takes her away from this whole "armored" aesthetic that was working it's way into far too many DC Universe redesigns male and female (also no more goddamn stilettos).
For some characters it makes sense, but at the end of the day Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl are supposed to be, effectively, Ninjas. That's always been at the core of the Bat-Family. They're not supposed to have armor really because it would slow them down. Having a kevlar weave to stop a knife or small arms from a distance is one thing (which they have and Babs certainly does in the cowl which doesn't have to be long or thick) but armored cowls and body plates are a no.
appealus: @Comixfan: Those are shitty, too. I didn't mention them because we're talking about Barb. I don't really have time to mention every costume I find lame.
Anonymous1: This isn't even kevlar weave. It's a freaking leather jacket. The most it'll stop is a paper-clip. It also looks like she de-aged about a decade. As for the hate on her old high heels...you guys DO realize that she probably wore those as compensation? Babs is SHORT. That's why she was laughed out of joining the GCPD. At least with the heels, she does hide her identity a little.
Anonymous2: Ok so how did she get de-aged? I had a look at one of the new covers for it and she looks about 14.
I miss Oracle and someone else being Batgirl instead.
