O_Rly: Curious, do you use references, or are these all done from scratch? Either way, they're well done.

naughtydisney: @O Rly: Yes I use a variety of references for each piece - mainly screen caps from the movies to get the poses, anatomy, and facial expressions right. I like to follow Disney style, which is characterized by a lack of body hair, male nipples, and has certain Disney-style proportions (which varies from character to character, so each character I depict must be well-studied). I've watched both movies hundreds of times and I've also taken a figure drawing class for human anatomy overall. I often study high resolution nude model photography to understand how shadows and light play off the human form.

naughtydisney: @Anonymous: Even so, there are some imperfections. For instance, I think Pocahontas's foot in this image is slightly too big given her proportions in the movie. But it's not major enough to bother correcting it for now. I might go back later and fix it if I feel like it.
