Anonymous8(5): @chickenboo: The main story, sure. The fanwank socialization, not so much. People are really jumping to wish-fulfilling conclusions about the scarce dialogue between these two which is itself intended to be a poke at this "odd couple" pairing done by BSN.
chickenboo: @Anonymous: Well, yeah, this scene is definitely not canon...as far as we know. It spawned out of their constant tension throughout all of their encounters, culminating in Shepard's line in the Citadel DLC, something along the lines of "This is all just sexual tension, right? Why don't you two just kiss and make up?"
Anonymous10(5): @chickenboo: You chose to read this tension as sexual tension. Some people on the BSN did too. I didn't. Anyway, the line you mentioned is Bioware acknowledging this crack-shipping done by the BSN. The line Jack has for Tali in the DLC is the result of another crack-shipping done by the BSN. The DLC is fankwank. More importantly than that, it's an apology for ME3.
There's more OOC/fanwank stuff like this in the Citadel DLC. One such example is Samara dancing when she tells us in ME2 that her dancing days are over and despite her composed nature. And then there's FemShep taking advantage of Vega, which is just disgusting and out-there.
