Morgaine: I've seen a lot of comments about how this new nude Tali model looks like Fang and indeed has the same hair and similar face.
My only response is... why is this a bad thing?
romero1718: @Morgaine: Not a bad thing. Some people just forget, or can't accept that Quarians are human-like beneath their suits despite still being aliens; and since Bio-Ware was too damn lazy to give us an official game model, this nude model looks fine to me. I prefer a nude Tali with the face of another character than see her nude still with a damn helmet. I hope you keep using the model, the author did put a lot of time and effort into it.
Anonymous5(4): @Morgaine: @Morgaine: It doesn't completely look like Fang. If this is the model created by plasmid, he did edit the face to look like photo of her in ME3. Probably can't see it too well from this angle, but the hands, feet and shape of the body were even morphed to the exact shape of Tali too.
Anonymous6: Because it REALLY looks like Fang to the point it's kind of hard to think of her as Tali... Still the model itself is quite good, and the author surely did put effort into it.
LuvDaArt: I personally am sick and tired of the Tali models with purple skin. According to the codex entry about Quarians in the game series they have "pale skin that is highly photosensitive". That means they are probably closer to being a really pasty white (like most people I have ever met while living in North Dakota and Iowa) and definitely not purple. Not sure where the idea for purple skin came from, but I definitely do not like it.
Anonymous8: Purple -- come on.. they are all slightly purple-ish. Easily a product of lighting. She looks like a paler color of Femshep (who has purple lighting on her too, it appears). Personally I like the Tali model here - but I'm not convinced she has ridged hip-bones, myself. "Just a human with missing fingers" -- well, clearly that poster is certain that their imagination is more correct than anyone else's
The "canon" which includes a photo of Tali - the only insight in to what she looks like - is probably totally wrong as well. SO many folks think the shapes inside the mask, glimpsed occasionally at odd-angles or via flycam, which were strictly generic models for reflection and shadow - were definitely not meant to be Tali's face. Most chars that had helmets or masks had the exact-same behind-mask widgets.. regardless of species. .02 ain't a lot.
