Roflcakes: Okay wow, I really need to find the issues of this comic online somewhere... after the crushing disappointment of S3, this shit looks amazing.
Anonymous2(1): I'll wait till the comic finishes its run or at least till when this story ends. It's cliffhangers like this that I don't want to be stuck with, waiting months for the next issue to come out.
Roflcakes: @Gomenasai: I used to be that way, but with TV shows instead. I'd wait until a season finished airing so I could watch all the episodes in my own time rather than downloading and watching them on a week by week basis. However, since then, I've grown to love the hype of awaiting a new episode, so I imagine the feeling is probably the same in regards to issues of the comic.
Plus, the wait for the next installment gives you time to analyze and speculate about plot points! That's almost as fun as watching a new episode to me.
Anonymous3(1): @Roflcakes: Well if the general opinion about a series is high right from the start and I'm really interested I do watch/read it along as it airs or releases. Otherwise some comics or series are better experienced in one go. I gave up on many online comics and manga because of the slow updates and how they tend to reference things that happened years ago in real time while in the comic only a few days or weeks passed. I get the full kick out of the story if my memory of it is still fresh.
With TV shows it's usually not as bad but marathoning does seem to leave a better impression sometimes. I marathoned the entire Gundam AGE in one week after it ended and kinda liked it despite its glaring flaws and pacing issues, but those who watched it weekly during the course of one year said that it was unbearable.
Roflcakes: @Gomenasai: I guess that's true, yeah. You can't exactly have a recap snippet at the start of each issue of a comic like you can with a TV show, can you...
Oh man, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been giving me major blue balls in that regard lately. Every week I'm hyped, every week I get my JoJo fix, and every week I keep wishing they'd squeezed just a little bit more payoff into the episodes. At the start of the series I found the weekly episode gaps to be very pleasant; the payoff was adequate because the story hadn't moved into the realm of ungodly supertension just yet.
Anonymous4(1): @Roflcakes: Ah, JoJo. One of my passions. It's yet another series I'm waiting till at least 3 full arcs are out before watching, I'm a huge fan of the manga. The manga is on the 8th arc right now which I haven't started yet either.
I highly recommend the manga if you want to know what happens ahead of the anime, and I bet there is quite a bit of censored content that didn't or won't make it to big screen.
Roflcakes: @Gomenasai: I believe Battle Tendency is about to come to an end, so hopefully you wont have to wait too long before you start watching! I can't comment on how good the adaption of the anime is, but I hear it's very faithful (I never read the manga because the goofy engrish translations turned me off, and now I'm watching the anime I don't want to spoil the story).
Also, don't take "blue balls" the wrong way or anything; they're only blue balls because the show is so god damn good! Srsly... Dat production quality. Dem opening and closing themes + title sequences.
Roflcakes: @Gomenasai: I know right? Get on dat shit! Nutbladder rips are best rips; they've got the best translations and they're 720p mkv files with good quality audio.
Check TPB, last time I did they were all still on there.

@Roflcakes: Er, the word I was looking for was adaptation, not adaption...
This is why I need to stop commenting before I wake up properly.
