Most aisle-based retail spaces, at least in the US, rarely have more than 16 cameras in total, resulting in many aisles lacking direct surveillance. Often, these are the aisles with the least-expensive and/or least tempting-to-shoplift items (value aisles, toys if it's a cheaper location with rubber garbage). - A former retail manager glad to never work in the industry again.
