Anonymous2: No, it's because the one who got to tag the very first Marill image tagged it as MArill, so now all the other Marill tags are copied off of that first one and automatically convert themselves to the same caps that were set in original. To fix this you can try to remove Marill tag from all images and then re-enter it as if it's the first time again. Usually it works for me, but not always.
Anonymous3(2): Indeed, that would be a lot of work.
Lately I tried to re-establish the caps to look better on some tags with few images, but to no effect. I believe it might be because the the site's system saves the caps for the tags permanently after a set time, and caps change can be done only on recently set tags (it worked with some tags that were only 1 or 2 weeks old, but not with ones that were set about a year ago). I'd like to know if there are easier ways to change caps in tags, I'd imagine admins have the powers to do that instantly.. or maybe not. Either way, if I discover anything new and exciting regarding this matter, I'll post here.
ssjseifer: It shouldn't be that hard to make it so changing one file tag should automatically change it throughout the system. It's just a matter of SARing it with a small C application to adjust the file names across the hard drive.
