There was a WW comic where a young looking Wondy went to Troy (who is still around despite her Wonder Woman and entire history had been rewritten by that time, time mechanics go figure). She had a run in with clay face who sucked in some of the mystic clay that made up Wonder Woman and gained some of her powers. By then he was on a rampage to get the rest of the clay meaning Wonder Woman's death. She was scared and thought of only one person who could help her, the original sidekick to the original Wonder Woman, Troy of the Teen Titans.
