Anonymous10: "Shabby's one of them screwy artists that's all ONOES SOMEONE EDITED MY ARTZ, MAH SOUL, SHE A BURNNNNNNS IN DISGRACE!"
No, it's more like he's one of them screwy artists that's all "ONOES, SOMEONE EDITED MY ARTS, AND DIDN'T IDENTIFY IT AS AN EDIT, MAKING ME LOOK RETARDED INSTEAD OF HIM WHEN HE FUCKED IT UP".
The fuckup in this particular shoop is that the picture on the laptop screen doesn't line up with the screen.
Perhaps if the pic said "originally by Shabby Blue, but altered by retarded fuckhead XXX", Shabby wouldn't give a shit.
Anonymous15: Shabby doesn't even talk to people -.- how the hell can he get mad???????? I still wouldn't go editing his stuff, as it is disrespectful. It may be nude, arousing, sexual, and erotica, but its still art, and its still rude, even if u just did it to make it personally more attractive. If you shoop a pic, don't upload -.-
Anonymous17(10): "internet is pretty serious business, huh"
It probably is to the artists. If you fuck them over enough, they might decide it isn't worth the effort and then you won't have any more pics to fuck with. We'll have to look to YOU for art from now on. When can we expect something?
jackrabbit: "shabby loves the time 11:38 for some reason"
Perhaps the 11:38 is because it's Star Wars related. Lucas also has an obsession with 1138, because of his earlier movie THX 1138. He makes references to it often in his movies, as does Spielberg. The Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones, American Graffiti, etc.
Anonymous20: Imo, as long as an altered version is released for free it's ok. Certainly in a case like this, where most of the work was done by the original artist, it would be criminal to ask money for it. But that's obviously not the case.
Also, look at open source software, where someone borrows a piece of code, alters it or adds to it and then releases it to the public again, for free. In music it's also commonplace to borrow, and the altered versions are not even free most of the time.
Altering a picture like this gives something to the community and therefore it's worthy of release. Even if the edit is a lazy and simple one.
