Anonymous1: Man, when you think back on all the things Homer gave up on for his family, like with that Hank Scorpio episode, it’s almost tragic. He had so many opportunities to be wealthy, happy and have amazing looking women despite his looks, faults and romantic history but he chose to put his wife and kids before himself and I don’t think he gets enough credit for the sacrifices he’s made in life. A lot people lesser than him, man or woman would’ve likely given in to temptation and I couldn’t rightly blame them.

Anonymous3: @Anonymous2: Yeah, but the thing is it’s obvious that Marge could do better than Homer and would just be fine without him. You’d have a much harder time picturing Homer getting anything better than Marge. Even when Lurleen kissed him and he flashed back to all of his past romances, you get the sense that he was just lucky to get anyone at all in the end. So something potentially better coming along isn’t a thing he should be used to.
