For some strange reason, i cant help but think of the krogan as a people who're no different than frogs (toads?) in terms of re-population. I mean, a female krogan's stomach cant become THAT large.... can it?
Anonymous10: @Anon9: I believe Warlord Okeer in ME2 mentions that the krogan use 'spawning pools', so it is indeed very likely that female krogan lay eggs (hundreds or thousands of them at a time) instead of giving birth to live young. There are several tidbits throughout the games that suggest that male krogan do have a penis (and judging from the 'Morlan E-mail', they are rather well-endowed), so my best guess is that krogan do have penetrative sex, but the female krogan simply lay fertilised eggs afterwards instead of carrying the young to term.
