Silent_Witness: @Lord_Adam_Trollingsworth: I suppose it isn't the collar itself that irks me, but the idea behind it. The artist is taking this character, with hopes and aspirations and all that crap, and reducing her to... well, not even the level of a slave. It's worse than that. The artist is lowering her to the level of a possession. A thing.
Anonymous2: @Silent_Witness: So much this. It's butchering her canon personality, and belittling her size doesn't help either.
I could see Fluttershy as this maybe, but not Rainbow. Never Rainbow.
Silent_Witness: @Gomenasai: I couldn't see it happen with Fluttershy. I don't want to see it happen with Fluttershy. It reminds me too much of another part of the fandom I find... disagreeable.
Nightweaver20xx: I'm actually starting to think Dashie would enjoy this on some sado-masochistic level. I dunno, maybe I've just seen too many of these.

I don't really think so; she doesn't like to be embarrassed or showed up, let alone the kind of humiliation that this would involve.

It is.. For some reason he won't relate to it?! Hes made comments on derpibooru/his DA about it though.
Maybe the backlash from the content/his comments on tumblr artists is why he wont admit it *shrugs*
Anonymous8(2): @Anonymous: Yeah, it's definitely him.
Should have just stopped drawing the damn thing if he can't take responsibility for its authorship like a man.
Anonymous10: @Anonymous: From what I have gathered, it is basically someones interpretation on a character.
They feel that the character like to be controlled like this, that the character enjoys it.
But on the other hand other people do not like the way the character has been personified, they feel the character would never be one to be into this kind of stuff.
When in reality it is just fan art, so they have creative license to make any character behave in any way they want.
I, if I wanted to, or wasn't bound by artistic talent, or lack of, could draw a picture of Velma Dinkley as a self centered stereotypical cheerleader, because it is fanart.
Anonymous12(10): @Anonymous: I think they think it messes with 'canon' when all it is is fan art.
We all have artists we don't like but yo cannot stop them from drawing what they want, in fact, giving it attention, even negative attention, just spurs people on.
No way dashie would be anyones pet!

She's also way, way too small in this picture.

I could be wrong though.
