Marche is insanely close to Märchen, which means "fairy tale," in German; Ritz is English for "a display of ostentatious elegance;" Montblanc is french for "White mountain;" Mewt is named after the English word "mute;" and Ezel is Dutch for donkey (which is what he looks like), but also means 'fool,' which is what many Nu Mou concieved him as.
