Sypoth: Probably because Macross came first and Robotech second, so it's defaulting to the Original name and giving the finger to Harmony Gold. Who has raped the series with their illegal copyright of material they were only back-door licenced to distribute.

GCSlappy: Granted, Robotech was not perfect, but it was okay. There were several talented voice actors involved that fit the characters well too - can't say that for most of today's stuff. And Misa/Lisa rocks :>
